This week I got to reflect on my online business journey since I started working with Dean Holland as my mentor.
I have learned a lot that I have applied in my business and my personal life.
However, I am not at the point I would have wished to be by now. I had envisioned my online business generating at least a few hundred dollars a month by now and then scale it in the new year.
Caught in the knowledge trap
From my reflection, I realized that I have spent a lot of time learning. I have always set aside time to attend the daily live sessions or watch the recordings, I have faithfully attended the live coaching calls on Tuesdays and Thursdays or watched the recordings.
I have also been consistent in blogging about the major lessons I have learned throughout this journey of setting up my profitable online business.
I got so engrossed in the learning that I lost sight of my goal of being profitable in my online business. I have been so busy learning that I forgot the business side of things. I can now comfortably speak the online marketers’ lingo, but I have no monetary results match the education.
I have resolved to do things differently in the new year that is just around the corner. My failure to achieve results has not been due to a lack of coaching. I have a lot of knowledge acquired through the coaching I have received from Dean and his team at InternetProfits, and lessons learned from my fellow Certified Partners from the InternetProfits member community.
It is now application time!
I am therefore going to de-emphasize acquisition further knowledge for some time until I get to the point that I feel I have fully applied the knowledge from the lessons I have received to date.
Traffic generation has been the weakest link in my business. I am going to focus on this one core area until I get the desired results before I do anything else.
I take this opportunity to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year.
